Time Stopped

Of course it is raining today, and I have never seen time move so slowly. It started when I drove Chrissy to the bus for the airport. We left at 5:15. Both of us had a suitcase strapped onto our bike-racks. We got to the bus depot at 5:23. I had no idea we could cover the distance so quickly with so much weight on the bikes. Time really slowed down, once the bus arrived at 5:50. I left and rode my bike home, and was home by six.

I drank the last cup of coffee from the pot, and took a shower. Looked at the clock and it was only 6:20. I ran a load of laundry, made some toast, and watched some news in French, German, and Russian. It was only 6:32. I brushed my teeth and flossed. I went out to see if the recycling was gone. It was. I checked the email. I read a story on CNN. It was only 6:39. I switched the laundry, cut a box for my bike to prevent road spray, and rinsed all of the dishes. Checked my other email and erased a bunch of stuff I would not read. I put my watch on. It was almost 7:00. I sat and wrote this while sitting sideways on the couch. My fingers are out of position for the keyboard. It is 7:08. It’s raining harder now. I no longer have an Internet connection. I will post this later. It is 7:09, 7:10, they have a Sumo cartoon on TV. Its still 7:10. Thai news is on. Its still 7:10. Finally, 7:11. I guess I will pack my bag. It is raining much harder now. 7:11, still.
