Welcome Home

In April, Chrissy had me sign up for Facebook. She had been searching for a website to share photos easily, more photos than she puts on the blog, and the only way I could view them was to sign up for my own account. Immediately after signing up for my own account, we both began to encounter many of our old friends from our high school days. Within a month, we were in daily contact with several people we had lost contact with over the years.

Through Facebook, Chrissy, Jim, Ann, Penny and several other friends began planning a mini-reunion of our class. This mini reunion turned into a reunion/welcome home gathering at the Spaghetti Factory in Lynnwood. It has been great getting re-acquainted with our old friends through the computer, but it was even better seeing them face to face over a plate of pasta.

We even had the pleasure of finally meeting Kim’s husband, Richard. We have only seen Kim three or four times since they have been married, so it really isn’t Richard’s fault that we haven’t met before. We have always heard what a great guy he was, but we had never met him. After making him drive all the way north, to Lynnwood from Shelton, for a rushed dinner due to ferry delays, and then dragging them to the Seattle Spaghetti Factory to see our daughter at work; Richard proved to be a great guy and a good sport.

I can’t wait to see everyone once again.
