Wow - we have a lot to catch up on! About a week or so after Jessica left we were lucky to have my parents, John & Anita Walker, come for a visit. They arrived on the 10th of April, shortly after that last post and blog additions of Jessica's whirlwind visit, only to begin another whirlwind tour of our Japanese homeland! What's interesting is that, while some of the places we visited were the same, many are new to us and even those we visited again we saw in a different light. Of course, no visitor could come to Japan without me taking them to Kiyomizudera - my favorite temple in Kyoto,

but many of the places we visited with my parents are classic "tour" spots, like the Sake Museum, that we just haven't gotten to yet. And some were literally backyard discoveries we simply stumbled into (Hirota Shrine is only 2 blocks away from our apartment!).

We all had a great visit and I think they took plenty of pictures to fill up their scrapbook. We even had fun collecting the official "stamps" from all the sights along the way. So sit back, grab your hundredth cuppa joe or green tea, and enjoy the pictures and stories of their visit.
